Welcome to Starting Out, the section for Beginners

'Starting out' means 'beginning', and this section is for Beginner and Pre-Intermediate level students.

This month you can hear an airport announcement in listening. 

In the speaking section learn ways of talking about the things you don't like.

The writing section has a link to a forum where you can write to other people learning English.

In  reading you can read a story about a family moving house.

The grammar  section practises possissives and in vocabulary you can learn some jobs vocabulary. 

Each section has links to activities especially chosen for students who are new to learning English.
