Juno

Ellen Page plays Juno, a young girl who discovers she’s pregnant and has to grow up fast.  She decides to have the baby adopted and advertises in a local newspaper for prospective parents. 

It seems an unlikely subject for a comedy but this film is genuinely funny.  Page’s powerful and charming portrayal of a teenager whose world is overturned is particularly impressive.

Juno is now showing in VO in Barcelona at the Yelmo Icaria  and in Madrid at the Yelmo Ideal.

No Country for Old Men

The Coen brothers’ latest work is a gory thriller set in Texas.  A Vietnam veteran (Josh Brolin) finds a bag containing more than one million dollars and goes on the run.  The money was part of a drugs deal that went wrong, and a psychopathic hitman (Javier Bardem) is hired to recover the money.

No Country for Old Men is now showing in VO in Barcelona at the Yelmo Icaria  and in Madrid at the Yelmo Ideal.
